AI and your data

Your accounts, your keys, your data.

How I handle your company’s information when I assess your business and build with AI. In short: it stays in accounts you own, a person approves what AI writes, and nothing you share is used to train AI models.

Everything runs on accounts you own

Before any build, we go through a short access list: for every account, who owns it, who pays for it, who creates it, who gets access and when that access ends.

Your company creates the accounts on its own card and invites me as a user. When we stop working together, you remove my access and keep everything: the accounts, the data and the work.

You pay the AI providers directly, with a hard cap

AI usage is billed to your company by the provider, not passed through me. Every key has a hard monthly spending limit, so a mistake can’t run up a large bill.

Your data isn’t used to train AI models

I set up AI tools on business plans and APIs whose terms say your data isn’t used for training, and I check that setting before anything runs.

AI sees only what the task needs

I send AI the smallest piece of information a task needs, not whole databases or mailboxes. Systems keep logs only as long as they’re useful for checking the work.

A person approves what AI writes

New systems draft and your team approves. Nothing goes to a customer without a person’s OK until the numbers show it can be trusted, and you decide when that is.

AI never does the math

Prices, totals, dates, stock levels and routing come from your systems, worked out in code. AI reads and writes; it doesn’t guess at numbers.

Your team can switch it off

Every system I build has one documented off switch your team can use without me, and we test it before it goes live.

Passwords and keys stay out of email

Passwords and keys are shared through a password manager, never by email or chat, and never stored in code.

Recordings

With your permission I record the discovery call so nothing gets missed. Only I see the recording, and I delete it after 365 days unless we’re still working together.

What I don’t take on

I don’t take on work involving healthcare or financial-services data.
